These striking Rainbow Cal Silica sterling silver earrings, represent a classic southwest symbol. Hand crafted by skilled Pueblo Indians from the Four Corners region; (AZ, CO, NM, and UT), in the traditional image of the Native American bear claw. Some Zuni people believe that bear power could cure illness, and honoring the bear spirit brings blessings to people. Rainbow cal silica is a multi-colored, layered stone, and was only recently found in Mexico. These spectacular multihued jewels, measure 3/4" x 1/2". Each gem is set in its own individual bezel encircled by a lustrous sterling silver band. As a final touch, four shimmering silver beads have been added, representing the claws.
