Wilber is Navajo (Dine) from the Coyote Canyon area near Gallup. This buckle was made the "old way" using traditional techniques using the hand made stamps of the maker. Coyote Canyon located along Navajo Nation Route 9, Coyote Canyon is part of the Fort Defiance Agency of the Navajo Nation and has an approximate population of 1,451. Coyote Canyon is most famous as the home of Navajo Chief Manuelito-The first Navajo Chief to unite all clans of the Navajo Nation.
